I visited Insane Park's solo exhibition: "I Have No Idea Because I have No Idea" at the Seoul Arario gallery over summer break. The exhibition comprised of video installations along with traditional Bob Ross paintings, which was a unique combination of traditionalism and modernism.

The most outstanding part of it was the parody of Bob Ross's video, installed with traditional landscape paintings, as well as the pop culture-vibe installations of flickering neon signs and GIFs. The installation on the lower floor was a bit hectic, with loud, disturbing sounds and flickering lights. This contrasts with the installation on the top floor, where it provoked a more soothing, tranquil attitude.

On the official Arario site, it says this exhibition "aims to portray and reveal the essential problems hidden behind the duality of cultural experiences faced by the current generation." I definitely think that Insane Park both accurately and effectively depicted this through the contrasting emotions of the two floors.

Overall, this exhibition was really inspiring in terms of the captivating visuals and how he utilized the division of space to accentuate the contrast between two opposing concepts.
